Altogether, our members trade goods worth close to NOK 4 billion per year from Nores agreement suppliers. These purchases contribute greatly to our members' environmental impact and overall footprint. Therefore, it is important that the suppliers we have agreements with take responsibility and contribute to sustainable development.

Nores is a control member of Grønt punkt. Grønt Punkt Norge AS secures and manages the financing of the return schemes for plastic, metal, and glass packaging, packaging carton, beverage carton and corrugated board. In addition, Grønt Punkt Norge AS collects and recycles plastic packaging, packaging boxes and beverage cartons on behalf of Plasttur AS and Norsk Returkartong AS.

Environmental beacon
Nore's administration is Environmental Lighthouse certified. Environmental Lighthouses is a national certification scheme aimed at the private and public sectors, particularly with an emphasis on small and medium-sized enterprises. Environmental Lighthouses address the following environmental topics: Internal control HSE, working environment, energy use, procurement and material use, waste and emissions management, transport and climate accounting.

Solvand is a Swedish innovation that holds 10 liters of water, heats and cleans it using sunlight. Since 2012, suppliers in Nores have been helping to distribute Solvand to people living without clean water. To date, the collaboration has provided assistance to over 50,000 people for many years to come.
