This week, Noresdagen 2025 took place in sunny Bergen – and it was an event that truly lived up to expectations. With Fløyen as a backdrop and nearly 600 members and suppliers from across the country in attendance, the days were packed with professional inspiration, great conversations, and memorable moments.
The event kicked off with an informal get-together at Fløyen on Monday evening, where Nores member Fløirestauranten served tasty finger food and refreshments to an enthusiastic crowd of members, suppliers, and partners. With a DJ and a brilliant view of Bergen bathed in sunshine, the atmosphere was both relaxed and festive – and the city truly showed its best side.

Tuesday was the day for the main Noresdagen event, held at Grieghallen. The morning began with the annual meeting, where Terje Simonsen was thanked for his eight years as board chair of Nores. The new board chair is Frode Hofstad, owner and CEO of P-Hotels. This was followed by the professional program during Noresforum. CEO Marianne Lund presented market developments and Nores’ ambition to be the most attractive purchasing partner in the industry. Purchasing Manager Mette Aarø-Stillesby and Head of Membership Anja Loen shared practical tips for smarter purchasing – to the great benefit of both new and experienced members.
One of the highlights of the professional program was the presentation by John Hammersmark – known as "The Captain" from the TV show Kompani Lauritzen. With power and warmth, he spoke about motivation, inner strength, and how to stand strong together as a team when things get tough.
During the trade fair, the suppliers took center stage, and they delivered in style. Flavorful and creative stands ensured that members gained new insights and had productive meetings with both old and new partners. The award for Stand of the Year went to the collaboration between Domstein Sjømat and Fondberg Beverage Group – a well-deserved recognition for their efforts at the fair.

Surplus food from the fair was donated to Matsentralen Vestland, which received a total of 542 kilograms of food to be distributed to organizations around the Bergen area. Of all the food provided after the fair, only 1.42 kilograms were discarded – resulting in a donation rate of 99.7%. Nores has a strong focus on sustainability and social responsibility, working according to the "Sustainable Trade Fair" principle developed by and in collaboration with Matvett. We are very pleased with this result and happy to contribute to ensuring all the food is put to good use.

The gala dinner brought together nearly 600 guests for an unforgettable conclusion to Noresdagen. The evening offered great food, award ceremonies, entertainment from Need Music, and a host in top form – Bjarte Hjelmeland tied it all together with a twinkle in his eye and warmth in his voice.
Several awards were presented during the gala dinner:

"Fondberg and Domstein Sjømat decided together that since we were placed next to each other at the fair, we had the opportunity to come up with something exciting. We wanted to create a pleasant little oasis for Nores members. The theme and setting became French, inspired by Hotel Charmante, with a brilliant effort from owner Frank Ditlaroche. He provided all the tables, chairs, bathtubs, and all other decorations for the stand. We then wove this together to create a lovely food and drink experience, just as it is at many of Nores' member establishments. When you have quality suppliers with skilled professionals joining forces, the result is fantastic. We are proud, humbled, and happy to receive the award for Stand of the Year."
Jarle Hustveit, Domstein Sjømat and Daniel Mogensen, Fondberg Beverage Group

"We at Latter are proud winners of 'Member of the Year 2024'. Receiving such an award together in Bergen makes this year's trade fair an even greater highlight! Latter was well represented by General Manager Magnhild, outgoing Head Chef Henrik—who has been with us at Latter for 17 years—as well as incoming Head Chef Emil and Restaurant Manager Tonje. We truly see the value of being part of a network, and we have great supporters and help from the Nores member advisors. We find that there is an open culture for even the less positive feedback, and we are met with professional responses, quick replies, and suggestions for solutions. This contributes significantly to making it easy to be good Nores ambassadors, and with an award in our luggage home to Oslo, we are ready for the journey ahead."
Magnhild Kleven, General Manager, Latter

"Being named Food Supplier of the Year is a great honor for us at TL Måkestad. This award is the result of dedicated employees, close partners, and our shared passion for quality food. We value this award highly. It is wonderful to have confirmation that our efforts and commitment are being noticed. It gives us even more motivation to continue developing and delivering the best to our customers moving forward."
John-Olav Måkestad, General Manager, TL Måkestad

"It is with great joy and humility that we received the award for Supplier of the Year in the non-food category. It means a great deal to us that the members of Nores have voted us to the top—it warms our hearts and gives us extra motivation to continue our excellent collaboration with Nores members. In a world that is becoming increasingly unpredictable, and in a HoReCa market with tight margins and intense competition, I believe that the Norengros model of close follow-up with each individual member, a focus on sustainable solutions, and, not least, competitive terms, is part of the key to our success. I would like to express a big thank you to Nores and its members, while promising that we will continue the good work every day throughout 2025!"
Steinar Sørbø Haug, KAM Norengros
